Looking for road trip stories-Mark Hudson
To friends of Evanston writer's workshop. i am looking to write a book of true road trip stories. they should be interesting in someway, funny, exciting, touching, but should be true. you retain copyright on your story, because it is, after all, your true life story. i can't pay anybody, because i don't know if i'll make money in the endeavor, and may lose money on the project. i don't know what my end all goal is with the book, but hopefully to get it out there so people will read it. there is an event coming up that you should all be aware of; the Printer's Ball at columbia College, Friday July 29, 2011, 6pm to 11 pm, the Ludington building, 1104 s. wabash ave chicago il. 60605. (www.printersball.org) it's a free event where you can either attend and get thousands of free publications in print form from independent writers, or release 5 to 500 copies of whatever you write to the masses. you can't charge money for your products, but you can include advertising in your manuscript. and it's free to participate. i don't know if my road trips anthology will be ready in time for this event, i may use a different manuscript. if i can't get my act together in time to produce some printwork to distribute, i wouldn't mind attending just to pick up free publications. so send me a road trip story if you have one, if you don't mind me using it, and check out www.printersball.org and find out more!
